Antares, May 2023

Louise Welch & Donna West

What were you looking for from a team building session and why did you choose the Farm?

Post covid we were looking for charitable activities for our colleagues to take part in locally. The farm was appealing to us due to the team building element, as well as the bonus of it being outdoors and away from screens, which is a change from our usual working environment.

How was your experience on the day and what activities did you do?

We have been to the farm three times now, and have a fourth day booked. We have always found the day to be engaging, fun and hard work, and most importantly fulfilling, especially at the end of the day hearing the farm staff list the activities that have been completed.

The tasks have been different each time we have attended, but have varied from weeding, sweeping, painting, using tools to fix or break things down, harvesting flowers, and more.

How do you think the Challenge Day benefitted your team?

The feedback from our colleagues has always been positive – it provides a fitness boost for our colleagues and encourages them to bond with those that they do not usually speak to, whilst also providing support for such an important initiative.

Lastly, all of the staff at the farm are always really enthusiastic and passionate about the day.

Anything else you’d like to add?

All of us from Antares wanted to say a big thank you to you all at the farm for making us feel welcome. Once again, we have had brilliant feedback from our colleagues saying what a fantastic day they had.

Your staff are amazing and are a big credit to you. We are so pleased we are continuing to support the local community and making a difference, and are looking forward to seeing you all again in September.
