Weed of the Week: Garlic Mustard

🌿 Alliara petiolata, or Garlic Mustard as it is more commonly known, is this week’s Weed of the Week 🌿

Also known as Jack-by-the-hedge, this plant is a member of the mustard family, but has a garlic-y flavour. It can taste quite bitter, but can be added to salad for a spicy kick. Leaves can be added to pesto, or sauteed to tone down the bitterness. The roots can be used to make a condiment similar to horseradish or wasabi!
