What’s this campaign about?

Our Wheels for Spitalfields campaign is asking for your help to get a van that will provide many years of hard-working service, from emergency veterinary transport to making sure that our community can benefit from the farm outreach services.

Why Should I care?

Reliable transport will enable us to attend schools, children centres, residents' associations, hospices, and community events. Ensuring we can continue our wider community engagement providing inclusive, educational, and social activities for children, adults, and the elderly. Taking our much-loved animal residents out into the community delivers positive and meaningful activities for individual beneficiaries and groups.

Our mobile farm service supports over half a dozen community events in Tower Hamlets each year.

How Can I Help?

PLEDGE! Every donation towards our fundraising goal, large or small, helps our project get back on the road. Donate to our dedicated van fund.

Our goal is to purchase a van and make it suitable for transporting animals before our busy Spring season so our resident donkeys can support community events.

What this means for our community

This diverse service touches on the therapeutic quality of connections with animals to greatly improve the well-being of our users.

Engagement with our community helps improve psychological health as regular interactions with animals have many positive effects for users including reduced depression and anxiety, and an increase in self-efficacy and communication.

“It has been a joy to work with the farm each year the children look forward to it and gain so much from the experience. SEN children in particular benefit from the experience and love to be with the animals"

Many in Tower Hamlets experience loneliness which is closely associated with a range of health issues. We need these ‘Wheels’ to continue to deliver outreach programmes that support greater integration and cohesion.

Help us build bridges between different parts of the community, tackling social isolation and contributing to making the borough a safer place.
